“Imagine
Imagine a place where land and sea become one
A place where the shoreline disappears in winter
And where the word ‘limit’ applies only to your physical ability
A land whose only boundary is the territory waiting to be explored
Imagine a place where life is good
A place where you’ll be welcomed as if you were home
From the tip of the Fjord to the heart of the woods
A National Park right next door
Imagine living in tune with the tides and amidst drifts of powdery snow
Imagine that this is your home
Imagine L’Anse-Saint-Jean”
A small municipality located in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, it has just over a thousand residents spread across a vast territory with two main attractions: a village on the shores of the Saguenay Fjord and a mountain, Mount Edouard.
It has everything to offer to those who love the outdoors and beautiful scenery. L’Anse-Saint-Jean still stands as a testament to a rich heritage typical of 19th-century Quebec architecture, which it cherishes, preserves, and showcases.
Surrounded by natural wonders, it offers the locals—whether born here or adopted—a wide range of activities.
As the seasons change, few can resist its charm. Biking, hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowshoeing—these activities are just as many stories and memories made in L’Anse. And now, imagine living it.
Known for its many tourist attractions, the town is also home to numerous businesses, including artisans, service providers, restaurants, microbreweries, and specialty shops.
Stretching for several kilometers along the Saguenay Fjord, the village of L’Anse-Saint-Jean is a must-see destination.
In just a few minutes, the mountains give way to the sea, revealing a whole new landscape—and all the amenities you need!

Serving as the background for Le Croissant – Montagne, Mount Edouard—the fifth-highest mountain in Quebec—is home to one of the most beautiful ski areas in Eastern North America.
It features more than thirty runs for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.
Two of its runs are certified by the International Ski Federation (FIS), attracting high-level competitions.
Needless to say, there’s plenty of snow in L’Anse-Saint-Jean! The mountain boasts one of the longest ski seasons in Quebec.
In addition to its many downhill ski runs and extensive backcountry skiing area (off-trail skiing), Mount Edouard is home to numerous trails for cross-country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, snow biking, and mountain biking, as well as an outdoor ice rink. It is a true four-season destination.

In the late 1980s, the residents of L’Anse-Saint-Jean came together to build their own ski resort. Nothing could stop them; their determination was matched only by their courage. Publicly owned to this day, the resort is a major driver of development for the municipality.
“It was in L’Anse-Saint-Jean that I chose to become actively involved in the development of the Le Croissant – Montagne project in order to promote and develop, in a conscious and thoughtful way, the village where I was born and that is so dear to me. Healthy lifestyles are at the heart of the mission of the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie, a social movement that has already raised awareness among an entire generation and helped them feel its benefits.
Now, healthy lifestyles are being integrated into a real estate development project that will create a healthy and sustainable living environment where residents will thrive alongside the community. Imagine L’Anse, imagine living there, imagine calling it home—and doing so in a healthy way.”
